Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and services offered by Clarion LLC, doing business as LocalMe ("LocalMe," "we," "us," or "our"), at localme.io (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

LocalMe is a professional identity platform for skilled owner-operators. Providers can create a profile, publish projects with photos, and request that the clients they served confirm that work by text message. Only client-verified work counts toward a provider's verified reputation. LocalMe does not sell leads, set or cap provider prices, or rank providers by advertising spend.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

Accounts and phone login

Providers sign in using their mobile phone number and a one-time code we send by text. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone and account secure, and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree that the number you provide is your own and that you are authorized to receive messages at it.

Provider content and verification integrity

You are responsible for the accuracy of the projects, descriptions, photos, and other content you publish, and you represent that you have the rights to publish them.
You may only request verification from clients you actually performed work for, using a contact number you are authorized to use. Fabricating projects, soliciting false confirmations, using your own number to self-verify, or otherwise gaming reputation signals is prohibited and may result in removal or suspension.
You grant LocalMe a license to host, display, and distribute the content you publish for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms, are the subject of a dispute, or are flagged for abuse.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose, including impersonation, harassment, infringement of others' rights, uploading unlawful or infringing images, data scraping, or attempts to interfere with the security or integrity of the Service.

Text messages

By using the Service you consent to receive the transactional text messages described in our Privacy Policy, including login codes and verification requests. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from LocalMe (note that opting out means we cannot send login codes or verification requests to your number), START to opt back in, or HELP for help.

No guarantee of service

Creating an account or submitting a request does not guarantee any particular outcome, listing, or verification. We may decline, delay, limit, or discontinue features or accounts at our discretion.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and content we provide, is owned by Clarion LLC or used with permission and is protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our written consent. "LocalMe" and related marks are trademarks or pending trademarks of Clarion LLC. Content you publish remains yours, subject to the license granted above.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. LocalMe is a platform for displaying verified work; it is not a party to any agreement between a provider and a client and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any work, provider, or client.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalMe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. In no event will our total liability exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clarion LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
